Curve Comb vs A Straight Comb

https://www.facebook.com/antoniotarrell?ref=hlwww.dacurve.com

Is it really a difference in the type of hair cutting comb that you use? Does it really matter? Why do we as hairdressers buy so many different types of combs or brushes? I guess to sum it up its all about the feel and look of the tool. One thing for sure is we as hairdressers can not live with out them.

Lets talk about a few different types and what is the purpose of each one of them. First, the All purpose comb. This comb is widely used by all hairdressers around the world. It can be used as a cutting comb, a smoothing comb, applying products, etc. This comb come in all types of material just like most combs from soft plastic to carbon fiber material. It also come in different types of shapes and sizes from short to long and narrow or wide.

Curved combs are becoming very popular again with hairdressers and one reason is for speed and control.
The faster you can cut a client hair the more money you can make. These combs come in different types of materials, shapes, sizes as well. One of the authentic curve combs DACurve by Antonio Tarrell. Its made out of carbon fiber with a modern sleek  look. One of the advantages of this comb is that its pretty sturdy and the teeth on the comb is rounded and smooth.

The purpose of the curved comb for hairdressers is that you are able to drop more hair into the comb holding it at a fixated position and cut according to the shape of the spine of the comb on wet or dry hair using clippers or shears. Now you can cut precise concave or convex layers in seconds and it is one of the fastest ways to cut a bob hair cut.

If you are looking for speed I would suggest a curve comb either way you can achieve the same look with both combs. It may take a little more time with the all purpose comb.

You can purchase a curved comb on our website www.dacurve.com. Visit our event page for advance training and updated shows. I wish you look with your new curve comb and don't be afraid to step outside the box. Peace!!

PS. Let us know about your experience with the curve comb.

How Important Are Your Tools As A Hairdresser

When it come down to a hairdressers tools, clients have no idea what it means to hairdressers when we say "please don't touch our tools" or "hey those are a pair of two to three hundred dollars shears and that they are not made to cut paper with".

My point is we value our tools just like a carpenter. We pay a lot of money for our tools and each tool has its on purpose. Clients would always ask me Antonio does it take all of those shears to cut someone hair? No, not at one time but each one have its on purpose.

As a hairdresser I have to continue to buy updated tools if it be clippers, shears, razors, curve combs, etc.

A Must Have As A Hairdresser

DACurve by Antonio Tarrell is one of the most fascinating hair cutting comb I have ever came across since I been a professional hairstylist. This tool as we call it in the beauty industry has become a leading  force as one of our leading brands for ANTONIO TARRELL

It was first developed from a well known hairdresser from Coasta Rica then patent by Don Davis. Inspired by these hairdressers before me we asked how can we put more in put on this geodesic curved comb, simply by making it more modern looking and come up with a different method of hair cutting.

This is  Our Method. Our Approach. Your Creativity for cutting hair with DACurve by Antonio Tarrell geodesic curve cutting comb.

A heat resistant carbon fiber toothed curve comb designed to mimic the natural curvature of the head this is one of the most popular curve combs on the market. It is about nine inches long with forty one rounded teeth which becomes a template for creating concave or convex layers at any fixed locations during hair cutting.

When used for cutting on wet or dry hair. Determine the length and shape of the cut and using shears or a pair of electric clipper to make all of the cuts using the curve inside or back as a guide, the curve having a simple curvature arced relative to a centrally located axis parallel to and spaced from the axes of the teeth of the curve.

If desired tool is clippers run the clipper parallel the comb until all hair is cut evenly. If desired tool is shears point cut to create texture until all hair is cut evenly while cutting on the concave or the convex face of the curve.

DACurve by Antonio Tarrell was designed with you the artist in mind making hair cutting fun and quick. This tool wasn't designed to replace all other combs but was designed to allow the hairdresser to be as creative as he or she would like to be.
